About the Event

Please note you MUST attend Day 1 & Day 2 in order to receive OSHA Card. Class on 12th 9am - 4:30pm Class on 13th 9am -12:30pm

Description: Provide workers with awareness of common job-related safety and health hazard.  Topics that may include in class:

  • Introduction to OSHA
  • Focus Four Hazards-including: Fall Protection, Electrical, Struck By, Caught in/Between
  • Personal Protective and Life Saving Equipment
  • Health Hazards in Construction-including: Haz-Com and Silica
  • Fall Protection
  • Machine Guarding
  • Scaffolds
  • Materials Handling, Storage, Use and Disposal
  • Stairways and Ladders
  • Power and Hand Tools

Instructor: Phil Hamel - Adirondack Safety Services

Phil is the owner of Adirondack Safety and Environmental Services LLC. Phil has over 26 years’ experience at FCI Ray Brook in safety, fire and environmental field culminating as the Environmental and Safety Compliance Administrator. In this role  he dealt with manufacturing, construction, maintenance, health care and food service operations. His services include OSHA 10 General Industry Construction Training courses.

This training is free and open to both members and non-members.  Registration required; limited space.
