The Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting proposals for breakout sessions and guided activities for its Women in Business Conference: Inspire & Ignite to be held in person on March 7, 2025 at The Hotel Saranac.  This one-day conference will encourage growth and inspiration for women in business throughout the Adirondacks. It will be a day of networking, learning, and empowerment with interactive workshops and panel discussions led by successful women in business.

 

The Women in Business Conference is an opportunity to build your professional skills, connect with women throughout the Adirondacks, and build bridges over the challenges we face in business.  The conference welcomes speakers on a variety of topics including (but not limited to) succeeding in business, challenges of doing business, health & wellness, managing burnout, networking, empowerment, personal development, conflict management, preventing bias, and negotiation. 

 

Guided activities may take place inside or outside and we encourage interactive, hands-on options.  The Hotel Saranac has a large ballroom, a couple conference rooms and the large Great Hall Bar. This beautiful historic hotel is the perfect place to make connections, learn new things and feel empowered by other successful women in business!

 

Proposals for breakout sessions (45 minutes) and guided activities (60 minutes) will be accepted until December 20, 2024 and can be submitted through this form or emailed to director@slareachamber.org

Submitted proposals will be reviewed by the planning committee. Notification of the selection decision will be made by January 6, 2025.  

 

Submissions should include:

• Your name and contact information

• Title of session

• Brief description of the content

• Benefits / Takeaways – Tell others clearly how they will benefit by spending time with you or insights/skills they will learn.
